Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oh man, who doesn’t love a good, chewy, chocolate-chip cookie? These bad boys won’t even make it into the cookie jar.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg and 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Process

  1. Mix the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then add the chocolate chips. Fold together until well-mixed.
  5. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone pad or parchment paper and refrigerate for at least two hours and up to two days.
  6. Before baking: remove the cookies from the fridge and preheat the oven to 350.
  7. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or so.
  8. Enjoy!
