Oh man, who doesn’t love a good, chewy, chocolate-chip cookie? These bad boys won’t even make it into the cookie jar.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg and 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Process
- Mix the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then add the chocolate chips. Fold together until well-mixed.
- Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone pad or parchment paper and refrigerate for at least two hours and up to two days.
- Before baking: remove the cookies from the fridge and preheat the oven to 350.
- Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or so.
