Orange-and-White-Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Process

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment, or use a silicon baking sheet (much easier).
  3. In a medium bowl: whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate, larger bowl: cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, orange zest and orange juice and beat until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Drop uniform, tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough onto your baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and cool.
  10. Enjoy!
