Who doesn’t love chocolate ice cream? Nobody, that’s who.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso powder
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
Process
- Combine the espresso powder and hot water in a small bowl and let it dissolve.
- Over a double-boiler, melt the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Add the coffee mix from step 1.
- Add the vanilla and salt to the mix and remove from the heat.
- While the mixture cools, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of your ice-cream maker and process until smooth; OR fold ingredients together by hand until incorporated. Freeze in an airtight container until firm.
