Chocolate Ice Cream!


Who doesn’t love chocolate ice cream? Nobody, that’s who.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream

Process

  1. Combine the espresso powder and hot water in a small bowl and let it dissolve.
  2. Over a double-boiler, melt the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Add the coffee mix from step 1.
  3. Add the vanilla and salt to the mix and remove from the heat.
  4. While the mixture cools, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of your ice-cream maker and process until smooth; OR fold ingredients together by hand until incorporated. Freeze in an airtight container until firm.
